One voice for science & maths ...

SaMnet represents a collaboration of academics addressing national issues in the teaching of university science and mathematics.  Discipline networks and a diverse range of universities are working collectively.  We are developing leaders who can foster best practices and promote broad cultural change in teaching and learning.  We are providing expertise and a coherent voice on policy affecting university science curricula.

SaMnet Action-Learning Projects

SaMnet offers a model for collaborative teaching and learning projects.  The team undertaking each project are supported by advice, peer review, and leadership training from SaMnet.  SaMnet will assist project participants to disseminate their work and to publish in scholarly teaching and learning journals.  In its first two years, SaMnet will work with at least 25 action-learning projects across Australia.

  1. Routes and pathways have an obvious connection with trails: trails take a route around a particular place following different clues or rules. Of course we are most interested in Maths Trails and they are becoming increasingly popular at different historic and natural sites that are used for school visits. math
